What we do

The road to quality products, competitive pricing & personal services is with Roache's Concrete Products Ltd. Complete design & Build projects that are personally customised to suit every farmer's needs with over 40 years of experience meeting changing demands contact the team at Roaches Concrete Products Ltd.

As production and environmental pressures continue to build the utilisation of feed and minimisation of nitrates onto pasture is never more important. The use of Herd Barns works to ensure milk production is maximised by ensuring that feed utilisation is optimal with less wastage due to trampling and herd health is improved as cows are out of the extremes of weather. Additionally the environmental impact is better control of nitrate absorption onto pasture and effluent runoff into waterways.

A building is only as good as it's foundations. We have all heard that over the years and here at Roache’s we back that up with precision planning. We operate to a very high standard. Only quality reinforcements are used to ensure that your foundations and walls will be standing proudly for many years to come. This quality ethic applies to all our products including our cowsheds, herd barns, underpasses, cattle stops and stock ramps to name just some of our product range. If we haven't currently got it in stock come in and ask and we'll build it for you.

The Engineering expertise and services include the following structural engineering for all cowsheds. Pipe work for cowsheds, herd barns, gates, fencing, rails and vet platforms. Roache's exclusive design also provides general repair work for existing cowsheds.

Roache's Concrete Products also provide access to a range of equipment such as a Knuckle Boom Crane, (Lift and Carry Service), Telehandler and Diggers

  • Outstanding Concrete Work

This has kept the McErlean’s coming back to Roaches Concrete Products for three generations.

“Their workmanship speaks for itself, when people look at the shed they ask who did the concrete work”

Poplar Partnership – John & Karen McErlean & Peter McErlean

  • Enduring Relationship

Roaches built their first 36 aside herringbone for the Whitelocks in 1996. They have since gone on to build several rotary sheds and have just recently completed a new shed for George Whitelock, Braeden’s son.

“I think all the cowsheds he has built have a good reputation, he has good workmanship and does a great job”

Braeside Dairies – Braeden and Caroline Whitelock

  • Clever and Accommodating Design

Our first response was being impressed with his quality of builds on comparison on what we had seen elsewhere.

David gave precise quotes and helped with plans and was always accommodating with any changes over this planning and design process. Our build was not just an “out of the box build” and RCP got in behind our concept to accommodate what we were looking for.

  • Non Standard Build

There was a lot of attention to detail in this farm dairy design, ie functionality and creating a pleasant work environment for staff and good stock flow. RCP responded to all of those requests and willingly accepted my design as this was not just a standard build.

  • Multiple Products for the Farm

Our business has used Roaches Concrete Products for over twenty years from the development of our first herringbone dairy shed, feed pad, silage bunkers and recently a new 54 bale rotary dairy shed.

  • Total Involvement

Their total involvement in the project during the drafting, consenting and permitting process was always at a highly professional level. Once we moved on to specification, tendering and pricing the documentation was always accurate and easy to understand.

  • Wintering Barn

We approached David as he had built two other barns locally. He was experienced in concrete work and knew a lot of things we knew nothing about, ie the exact spacing for cow cross overs to give them enough room, the right amount of head room between sleeping bays, step up to the beds at exactly the right height, fall on the bed so they stay dry, fall on the whole barn so no puddles, excellent air flow with the rounded roof, scrapers to take away effluent to a bunker also designed by David, a bridge to enable tractor turnaround while feeding out. We could go on but we only need to look at how happy our cows are.

    Denis and Linda Morgan

  • Good Communication

We are very happy with the result of the build and project. I was impressed with the team on the building site and communication throughout. The company are practical with design and are experienced builders in this sector who pride themselves on the final product.
